It has really made a difference in the classroom and around the school. We have been able to use the Earbuds in different classes with our new comer students. These are the students that are new to our country and don't know English yet. With the use of the Earbuds they are able to engage and show their teachers what they know and if they have any background knowledge, even though they don't speak the language. \r\n\r\nWe have also been able to use them with our counselor, when she has to do a session and the student is more comfortable speaking another language other than English. She is able to still listen and help them out without having a third person in the room. \r\n\r\nHere is a statement from one of the teachers using the Earbuds in her classroom: \"The pods have allowed me to effectively teach all my students no matter the language barrier. Likewise, this also has showed that my students who have not yet learned English, do understand and know most of the concepts being taught; of course, every child do have gaps, but they better understand it in their first language, Spanish.\" \r\nI think that we will continue to make progress with the use of the Earbuds.","fullyFundedDate":1735396952798,"projectUrl":"project/what-did-you-say/8918625/","projectTitle":"What Did You Say?","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wirths","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9825613_orig.jpg?crop=1512,1512,x0,y45&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1732138822334","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9825613"},{"teacherId":9814537,"projectId":8922948,"letterContent":"This letter of thanks is coming to you from a school full of multi-aged students who have benefited greatly from being able to use a mouse while using Google Chromebooks. Because resources are limited, donors choose helped provide these devices. In turn, these devices have provided an option for how our students interact with/manipulate web-based learning and testing. Teachers were excited to have the opportunity to provide a mouse while testing, especially the younger students. They have said that working with a touchpad on a Chromebook can be difficult and frustrating for some students and teachers. Students have mastered the mouse and have improved testing scores with much less frustration. \r\nIt is because of donors like you that our students have access to resources like a mouse. It may seem simple to you, but to our teachers and students, your donations help provide differentiation so all learners can experience success. Your donations are greatly appreciated!\r\nI have included a variety of pictures that show students using our new donation.","fullyFundedDate":1732050138105,"projectUrl":"project/mastering-the-mouse/8922948/","projectTitle":"Mastering the Mouse","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Knapp","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9814537_orig.jpg?crop=215,215,x0,y69&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1730904386211","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9814537"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_133578","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":401,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":52,"percentAsian":5,"percentBlack":20,"percentWhite":25,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":42,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR District Weighted Average","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":133578,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about James Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"James Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/princeton-independent-school-district/james-elementary-school/133578"}
