The question blocks are the most frequently used and was the first activity we indulged in other than the cleaning supplies. After reshaping the desk into a circular arrangement we began tossing the blocks on the desk. Once the block landed we answered the question that was facing upwards. We took turns explaining our answers as well as sharing every detail that we possibly could with one another. This project helps us to be more personal. We understand that we do not all have the same background, living situation or home life and that is okay. Learn to be accepting of others and their differences.\r\n\t\r\nInitially, when students walked into the classroom I explained to them that we have an opportunity to explore some new materials. I shared how they were donated to us and they were shocked and shy about using them. I let you know that Donors Choose has done a great thing. The materials in front of them were for their use and benefit. We noticed very quickly that one of the packages was very low level thinking for middle schoolers and would most likely benefit children in elementary school. The calming strips were a fan favorite as it kept students engaged and helped to focus students attention on something more productive than misbehaving.\r\n\r\nThe next steps for my students are to apply the social emotional learning that takes place in this setting and apply it into daily situations. We practice them in my classroom as a small group which can be easier than in a classroom of thirty students or in Physical Education with forty five individuals. My current classroom lesson or project would be to notice the mistakes that you are making and think about the consequences beforehand. Once students are in my On Campus Intervention classroom setting they can verbalize what decision earned them placement of an alternate classroom setting. My goal is for students to proactively become aware of the right decision before letting their emotions take over and lead them down a road of poor choices. \r\n\r\nThank you for your time and I really appreciate the opportunity to share how this has impacted myself and students. Thank you for your generosity. I look forward to continuing educating students using resources from this site.","fullyFundedDate":1764700167203,"projectUrl":"project/cope-presidential-campaign/9663553/","projectTitle":"COPE: Presidential Campaign","teacherDisplayName":"Coach Callis","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10231736"},{"teacherId":10163299,"projectId":9569452,"letterContent":"I would like to thank you, the donors for allowing my classes to have access to composition books and scissors.
