Many of my first graders do not know the most basic math facts.\r\n\r\nTheir favorite way to use the flashcards is to play around the world. It is a simple head to head competition to see who can get the answer first. \r\n\r\nWe use these flashcards almost weekly in the classroom and they are sent home for homework. Last week, I was out of routine, and totally forgot about it. Towards the end of the day, someone asked about it. Oops. \r\nSince they have to earn the privilege to sit comfortably on the floor, it is an incentive for good behavior all week long.
