They even helped open up the boxes. In our Special Education classroom, we have many students that struggle to enjoy reading because of their disabilities. The books that you helped provide are graphic novels, written with ample pictures and short captions (similar to comics) that help engage students who do not read for enjoyment or one who may have attention difficulties. The books also help students with minimal reading skills to feel successful by providing stories told in short phrases that are not overwhelming to a struggling reader.
