Having the candles, tablecloths, feather pens, and costumes really set the stage. My students were able to understand what it must have been like during the convention. They felt the frustration of trying to get their ideas heard, and they understood the importance of compromise. They learned about the importance of the Constitution to our country.\r\n\r\nMy next step will be to have students write a speech and present it to a few community members who work in our area. I want them to be able to answer questions that accompany their speech. \r\n\r\nThanks again! My students were thrilled to see the room transformed into what it might have been like in Philadelphia during the convention.
