The regular maintenance materials such as wipes and hooks and putty really helped when setting up in a new classroom this year. It was nice to have a toolbox of materials to go to when hanging decor and posters for my kiddos to feel welcomed and loved in such a small space that they spend all their days in. It really helped bring about a comforting and welcoming space for them to learn. Without such materials, lights and paper sea creatures and plants couldn't be hung for all to enjoy. For that we are so thankful! To see them get excited over stencils and colored pens truly warms my heart. It is a joy to see my students actively engage in the writing process and be so eager to do so simply because they have a fun stencil to use. They draw their character using the stencil and then they have to write a story (usually funny) about it. The stories I get from this are quite something else. We appreciate you so much! \r\n\r\nWe immediately hung up the string lights across the ceiling in the classroom with the magnetic hooks. It not only added some ambient lighting and decor, but really emphasized the comfort and welcoming feeling of the room. Even the staff who walk by stop to rest and relax in the room due to its comforting atmosphere and relaxing nature. \r\n\r\nThe marble run game is a hit! Every kid wants to play with it and create a way to get all the marbles down at once as fast as they can. It serves as a great cool down tool for our quiet time after lunch. This time is used to reset our minds and take a breath before we continue learning for the second half of our day. \r\n\r\nThe letter stamps have been an awesome tool when working with a specific student who still struggles with basic literacy understanding. Together, we build CVC words. I say the word and the student stamps it. Although we have built CVC words many times before in various ways, this stamping technique was different and enticing to the student. It got them excited again to learn what has been repeated day after day. \r\n\r\nThank you for helping me create the most loving classroom I can!","fullyFundedDate":1738805049461,"projectUrl":"project/marblesto-keep-them-from-losing-theirs/9051524/","projectTitle":"Marbles…to Keep Them From Losing Theirs!!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pryce","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9583589_orig.jpg?crop=682,683,x0,y70&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1720111013169","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9583589"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_35069","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":555,"numTeachers":35,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":8,"percentWhite":54,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":24,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"15.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":72.1,"schoolId":35069,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about W.T.
