I am so grateful. As I have transitioned from first grade to transitional kindergarten the needs of my students have also shifted. We provide an early start to students who may otherwise struggle with the transition to kindergarten. Most of my students are coming into my classroom with very little experience being away from their primary caretakers and away from home. \r\nMany of my students are also coming in with higher needs in adaptive and social-emotional development. I have used the resources purchased in this donor's choose project to expand my ability to support the social-emotional needs of my young students. I have created 2 additional calming spaces in my classroom and have incorporated the materials into the spaces. I have also used the materials to help support math and literacy. Students learn best with engaging activities that they can interact with in meaningful ways and these materials have helped me to bolster my curriculum with more engaging activities.
