Their faces lit up as we opened the boxes together, and they eagerly helped set them up. One student remarked, \"I can't wait to write words on our new board!\" We began using the whiteboards right away, especially during our recent science unit. Students shared their knowledge on acorns and then worked in small groups to create models using what we recorded on the whiteboard, applying what they've learned about living and nonliving things.\r\n\r\nThese whiteboards have transformed our learning environment. For example, during shared writing, students shared the pen to write a story together with my help. Their engagement and collaboration increased, and I noticed even my quieter students volunteering to share their findings. We have also used these whiteboard easels for our big book shared reading instruction. We have not been able to easily use these large books before receiving the whiteboards! The whiteboards have made our lessons more interactive and helped students connect abstract concepts to real-world experiences.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we plan to use these whiteboard easels daily with both shared reading and writing activities as well as collecting our knowledge on science topics. Students are already brainstorming ideas and can't wait to use these to bring their projects to life. Thank you for giving my students these opportunities—they are more motivated, confident, and eager to learn because of your generosity. Thank you from the whole kinder team (and Mrs. Clasen who posted this project for us).","fullyFundedDate":1761175708702,"projectUrl":"project/shared-reading-and-oral-language-suppor/9815470/","projectTitle":"Shared Reading and Oral Language Support for Low Income Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Clasen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9081397"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_131052","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":363,"numTeachers":null,"percentFrplEligible":80,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":61,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":26,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":null,"demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"TOWN","ncesMetroType":"TOWN_DISTANT"},"inStateSupporters":85.0,"schoolId":131052,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Ida Nason Aronica Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Ida Nason Aronica Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/ellensburg-school-district/ida-nason-aronica-elementary-school/131052"}
