We have created anchor charts with the grid paper to help us learn how to measure volume of rectangular prisms and to learn decimal place value.\r\n\r\nThe triangular pencils are insanely popular with students, because they can write more comfortably with the slightly larger pencil to grip. Of course, the cleaning wipes come in handy daily, and sometimes hourly!\r\n\r\nWe are very grateful and look forward to more projects in the near future with the paints and the grid paper.","fullyFundedDate":1755995590878,"projectUrl":"project/back-to-school-basics/9632576/","projectTitle":"Back to School Basics","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Coble","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3934097_orig.png?crop=272,272,x0,y49&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1654498528417","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3934097"},{"teacherId":9781770,"projectId":8833543,"letterContent":"Starting the new year with a new alphabet rug was so amazing! My kindergarteners were just as excited if not more excited than I was the first day it was rolled out. The colors and size of it brighten up the classroom, and bring all of us a ton of joy each school day. \r\n\r\nWe use the rug everyday starting with our daily morning meeting, calendar routines, and greeting one another. The rug is our community space and brings us together in an organized manner, so everyone can take turns sharing aloud their thinking while learning to stay in their personal letter space (two big kindergarten goals). \r\n\r\nMy current students will move on to first grade following June, yet I know they have loved and used the rug so well for 4 months so far. I get to continue to enjoy the alphabet rug with new kindergarteners each year, and really get to know each other from the moments sitting on and around the rug every school day. It really is more than just an alphabet rug and it's the most \"homey\" part of our classroom.
