This rug has had such an incredible impact on my classroom community and on the students that are in my classroom! Students now have specific spots to sit on and are quickly learning concepts such as personal space and are learning to be respectful listeners. There is finally a place for everyone in my classroom to sit, contributing to students' ability to learn successfully. Even more, students are very proud and excited about the classroom rug and the brightness it brings to the classroom aesthetic. This rug has not only contributed to the classroom community, it has also contributed to students' ability to learn.\r\n\r\nIn my classroom I have several students with sensory and spatial awareness concerns. This being the case, it was often difficult to teach personal space and have students remain in their own area. Spaces on the carpet were not previously defined, and not all students were able to see effectively and keep their focus. The rug is used throughout the bulk of my day and now each child has a place to go during each lesson where he or she can see. In this way the learning area has been defined as an inclusive spot where each child can succeed and feels like he or she \"belongs.\" We spend the majority of the day sitting on the classroom rug.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for contributing to my classroom! I cannot fully put into words to truly express the level of my gratitude. This rug has made my classroom an inviting place to learn and an exciting place to teach.
