The technology is so good we can even hear everyone clearly on the football field and track. We have tested up to a mile away. It covers distances so well and is crystal clear. They use batteries so they do not require a charging stand and are smaller and easy to handle, which has been a saving grace for our staff.\r\n\r\nWe use them every day all day long for discipline problems so staff on the move can communicate needs and emergencies. We have had a couple of medical issues that kept staff and the nurse in contact within the building. The special education department uses them all day long to communicate needs to each other. Our gym teacher and other teachers use them to take students outside and remain in contact with the office for any needs.\r\n\r\nThe students have been learning how to use the walkie talkies in an emergency. They are easy to use for staff and students alike and the students have become more involved and interested in clear communication on a daily basis, as well as with emergency and safety concerns.\r\n\r\nWe are running so smoothly! Communication is always key and such a small rural area with constant weather and power outage issues challenges us in so many ways.
