One is the ability to decipher informational texts to answer questions, connect to bigger ideas, and write summaries. The ability to read charts and graphs, along with other data images, is reinforced using the current event magazines. In History class, we love making connections between current events and historical happenings we have studied.\r\n\r\nThe reason these materials are so engaging is that they are written for students at the appropriate lexile level, are high-interest articles, visually appealing, and timely. Students love getting new magazines for the month.\r\n\r\nYour donation made a big impact on our students' reading skills and will continue to help improve these skills are year.
