Most important, each student has equitable access to quality supplies each and every school day. \r\n In our class we have become \"bucket fillers\" learning to treat each other with kindness and respect. As a classroom management incentive, students are earning pom pom to \"fill their buckets\". They can then spend their pom pom on small treasures and goodies. Some of the students in our class have never had the opportunity to use some of the materials we have, and it has been so fun watching them explore and celebrate their creativity. \r\n Even more fun, has been watching the quick advancement in fine motor skills. Students are cutting, gluing, stamping, paper punching, and creating all at different levels, but all with more and more accuracy. These fine motor skills transfer academically as kindergartners are learning to correctly hold pencils, scissors, and small manipulative. \r\n The kindergarten art cart has quickly become a classroom favorite in our workshop (free choice) time.
