Our students absolutely love them, and they've already made a noticeable positive difference in the classroom.\r\n\r\nThe students' reactions when they first saw the materials were priceless; they immediately wanted to try them. Their smiles during our initial \"exploration time\" were infectious, making it clear they saw these not just as new chairs, but as tools to help them learn and feel more comfortable. An example is a students that we'll call Johnny. Before having the wiggle chairs Johnny had difficulty working independently on a consistent basis. After a few days of using the wiggle chair, he was able to work infependently and when I asked him what the difference was, he explained that the ability to move around while doing his work allowed him to maintain concentration.\r\n\r\nLooking ahead, these innovative seating options will be essential during focused work periods, enhancing student concentration and well-being. We extend our sincere gratitude to our generous donors for empowering our students with these wonderful opportunities for growth and success.","fullyFundedDate":1746504653984,"projectUrl":"project/classroom-wiggles-learning-in-motion/9147811/","projectTitle":"Classroom Wiggles-Learning in Motion","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hobbs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8174827_orig.jpg?crop=3072,3072,x0,y491&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1668499742958","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8174827"},{"teacherId":7972747,"projectId":8700421,"letterContent":"My students were so surprised to hear that a group of people donated money to our project. Some people will do what they can to provided unique materials that all students can experience regardless of their social economic status and experiences or school. Our class can now use the table tops to work closer to the classroom projector. These work excellent for students that wear glasses and it also helps accomodate learning styles. The floor mats motivate students to stay on task as it is used as a privilege during carpet instruction time. The magnetic boards are used during our small reading and math groups. It makes a difference to have students work with durable materials as they are interacting about learning. \r\n My students also wanted me to make sure I wrote how grateful they were to receive the materials that enhance and accommodate their learning journey as first graders.","fullyFundedDate":1733588698974,"projectUrl":"project/anchors-in-excellence-diving-into-learni/8700421/","projectTitle":"Anchors in Excellence Diving Into Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. A Moreno","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7972747"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_36727","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":463,"numTeachers":27,"percentFrplEligible":74,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":21,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":73,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"1 - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"17.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_SMALL"},"inStateSupporters":72.6,"schoolId":36727,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Edison Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Edison Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/washington/walla-walla-school-district-140/edison-elementary-school/36727"}
