These have made such a positive impact within the classroom. Our white board is used every day for all subjects! Some days it holds an anchor chart with new information, other times we write our spelling words on it, or use it to show different math strategies! It has been very beneficial to students learning. The board games have been a huge help with indoor recess. With the weather being snowy and rainy students have been able to use them often and keep busy during their time indoors. \r\n\r\nMy students were so excited when I showed them the new games, they wanted to play them right away! It was awesome to see them come together to play different games and collaborate on a new level. \r\n\r\nBeyond the board games, we are learning so much this year! We are just finishing up learning about equivalent fractions and how to compare fractions. Then we will be moving into learning how to read charts and graphs (our white board will come in extra handy during this!) In reading we will learn more about people/events that have impacted communities in a positive way. Students will learn about biographies and read a variety of them. \r\n\r\nThank you again for supporting our learning!","fullyFundedDate":1766082113174,"projectUrl":"project/boards-and-brains/9835460/","projectTitle":"Boards and Brains!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Sullivan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9731942_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1760566629203","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9731942"},{"teacherId":9731942,"projectId":9835241,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for all the different genres of books! 3rd grade is the year students start using their reading skills to truly learn. This is also the year they dive into more genres and find out what they enjoy to read! These books have allowed my students to explore what they like. My students have also been able to see how different genres and authors may structure their books as well. \r\n\r\nIn my classroom students have a lots of flexible seating. Students may choose to sit at their desk or a table and use stools, chairs, or wobble chairs. They also have the option to read around the room. I have a large carpet for them, pillows, bean bag chairs, cushions, and a double seat saucer chair. \r\n\r\nAll my students have loved these books. Each one has read at least one of them! My students especially love The Wild Robot. We read 2 out of the 3 books as a class. Many of them were excited to have the 3rd book to read and finish the series. The runner up was The Cat Kid/Dog Man books, this series is great for all types of readers and it keeps them engaged! One of the girls saw the go-go squeeze and said it was her absolute favorite! She chooses that almost every snack now! \r\n\r\nOur snack time is in between math and reading.
