The timing could not have been better—we had just finished our unit on Jobs Around Town, and the students were immediately inspired. They jumped right into building a city with blocks and loved role-playing with the community workers and vehicles.\r\n\r\nIt has been a joy to watch the students learn to use the different coding robots. Even after we put our classroom \"community\" away, they still choose to code and move the robots during free time. The community worker figures have also become a regular part of their play when they build with other materials in the classroom.\r\n\r\nI truly cannot thank you enough for adding these meaningful resources to our classroom. They have helped bring learning to life through play, and the impact on my students has been wonderful to see.","fullyFundedDate":1763600886455,"projectUrl":"project/design-a-town-where-reading-meets-stem/9822335/","projectTitle":"Design-a-Town: Where Reading Meets STEM Careers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Groth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3876175_orig.jpg?crop=1413,1413,x48,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565640771677","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/groth"},{"teacherId":3876175,"projectId":9273217,"letterContent":"We start each day with a \"soft start\" to ease into our morning. During this time, students can play games, draw or color, read, build with various materials, or explore different STEM activities. Many of my students love using their imagination when building with Picasso Tiles. The little figures that come with them make it even more fun, allowing students to act out different scenarios as they build.\r\n\r\nI've had a robot car in the classroom for several years now, and it has always been a favorite. That's why I was so excited to add the robot mouse this year! Right now, students are exploring how to code the mouse to guide it through the maze and reach the cheese. We haven't even opened the challenge cards yet, so I'm looking forward to seeing how their skills grow as they continue using the Code & Go Mouse throughout the year.\r\n\r\nThe Power Up! Circuit Challenge has been a completely new and different experience for them. It's so much fun to watch them struggle at first—and then light up with excitement when they finally get it to work!\r\n\r\nI can't thank you enough for helping to inspire and engage my students in STEM activities as they start their day.","fullyFundedDate":1749822423381,"projectUrl":"project/soft-start-and-stem/9273217/","projectTitle":"Soft Start and STEM","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Groth","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3876175_orig.jpg?crop=1413,1413,x48,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1565640771677","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/groth"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_38463","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":352,"numTeachers":25,"percentFrplEligible":14,"percentAsian":3,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":85,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"RURAL","ncesMetroType":"RURAL_FRINGE"},"inStateSupporters":85.2,"schoolId":38463,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Amy Belle Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Amy Belle Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/wisconsin/germantown-school-district/amy-belle-elementary-school/38463"}
