The arrival of your gift created an immediate wave of excitement; from the moment the packages appeared, the students were buzzing with anticipation.\r\n\r\nWhile I initially asked them for patience so we could integrate the materials purposefully into our curriculum, their enthusiasm never wavered. They asked daily when the \"hands-on\" work would begin. That persistence paid off—once we opened the materials, the classroom was transformed into a laboratory of discovery.\r\n\r\nHands-on labs have proven to be the key to unlocking my students' curiosity. They are no longer just observing science; they are creating it. This also sparked interest has directly led several students to enroll in the Science Fair and join after-school programs like Robotics. One of our most successful projects was emulating the windmill from The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. Seeing the students connect a powerful story of innovation to their own physical builds was a highlight of the year.\r\n\r\nYour contribution has done more than provide \"stuff\"—it truly brought joy to our science class. You have helped my students see that science is a path toward a brighter, more creative future.","fullyFundedDate":1766871244781,"projectUrl":"project/science-brings-joy/9865512/","projectTitle":"Science Brings Joy","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bohorquez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10285378_orig.jpg?crop=1000,1000,x120,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769297130882","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bohorquez"},{"teacherId":10285378,"projectId":9865554,"letterContent":"It has been a great pleasure to work with these kids during the regular volleyball season here in Milwaukee. As the tournament approaches and we prepare for this upcoming event, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your donation of the new Mikasa professional volleyballs.\r\n\r\nWorking with these kids is pure joy. The moment they saw the new equipment, they immediately noticed they were holding something special. When they realized these were official professional-grade balls, their faces shifted from simple excitement to absolute adrenaline—they couldn't wait to start training with them.\r\n\r\nThe transition was a great learning experience. At the beginning, it was a challenge, especially for our youngest and newest players, to adjust to the weight and firmness of the professional yellow and blue balls. However, after just a few days of practice, the progress was undeniable. They have discovered they can hit with more power and receive with much more precision compared to the softer, traditional balls they used previously.\r\n\r\nWhile we still have a lot to learn, your support has helped us consolidate a group of individuals into a team that truly feels like a family. Thank you for investing in these kids and providing them with the professional tools they need to play their best.","fullyFundedDate":1766348434799,"projectUrl":"project/our-volleyball-team/9865554/","projectTitle":"Our Volleyball Team","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Bohorquez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10285378_orig.jpg?crop=1000,1000,x120,y80&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1769297130882","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/bohorquez"},{"teacherId":4044261,"projectId":9716843,"letterContent":"Your contribution to my classroom could not have come at a better time. The beginning of the year was rough for some of my students with autism or anxiety, but with the tools you donated they have learned how to calm themselves when needed in order to be able to learn and live well. The noise cancelling headphones were very needed by one student in particular and she loves them! Because of this, other students have been asking for them as well! Things have definitely calmed down before Christmas break, and that is not the usual way of things :) It's working!
