If I'm being honest, my students were super excited to see the AFMAT Electric Sharpener. Most of my students had never seen an automatic sharpener and were surprised to see how fast it worked and how they didn't need to hold it in. It's not only the sharpener that has excited them but also knowing that someone wanted to donate to their classroom! \r\n\r\nHere's a little on what has been going on in our classroom. On the first day of school, students received folders their papers in the classroom as well as their homework folders. They didn't think they would be receiving much but loved the colors we had for our class. On the same day they received their Expo markers and microfiber cleaning cloths for their desks. Students also received their erasers, pencils, and pencil bags. All of our materials have helped us know that we can have an organized space that will set us up for success. \r\n\r\nMy students also noticed that I received pens, markers and Sharpies to use as tools in the classroom. During the first week of school, I worked with students on creating anchor charts that are filled with color thanks to our Mr. Sketch markers! The laminating pouches have also made it easy to save important documents and posters. The Alien tape has allowed me to post up posters without damaging the walls. \r\n\r\nAs you can see, we have used so much of our new materials in our classroom and it's only the second week of school. Imagine all that we're going to accomplish this school year thanks to your donation!","fullyFundedDate":1746786099644,"projectUrl":"project/an-organized-classroom-makes-a-focused-m/9236556/","projectTitle":"An Organized Classroom Makes a Focused Mind.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Torres","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9991875_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744006917921","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9991875"},{"teacherId":9991875,"projectId":9236517,"letterContent":"When my students found out that they had brand new headphones assigned to them, they were thrilled to see what they looked like. I spent a portion of my summer preparing their materials with the Cricut Maker machine. I wanted everything to be perfect for them when they arrived on the first day of school. The Cricut Maker has given my students the opportunity to have their school materials personalized by number and have a sense of organization.\r\nThe Barks headphones have given my students a chance to try out new technology that most have not seen before. They love how everyone has brand new headphones. What my students love the most is the ability to cancel out most of the noise if there is any in the classroom. I'm also excited for students to practice using their mics, I know they're looking forward to our using the microphones!\r\nBoth of these items have brought an immense amount of joy into our classroom. This is my first year receiving such a great gift but seeing the looks on their faces was much more rewarding. You have brought a light into our classroom that I will forever be grateful for. The materials for this project have really given our students who need a place to calm down. My students have used the bean bags when they are having a hard day to relax and regroup before going back to their classroom. Without these materials, my students would have no where to calm themselves in order to get back to class and learn the necessary skills in order to be successful.
