The calculators have already made a huge difference. Students are able to check their work, explore more challenging problems, and gain confidence knowing they can focus on the math process rather than just computation. Many of my students don't have access to a calculator at home, so being able to use them in class levels the playing field and helps everyone learn at a deeper level.\r\n\r\nThe colorful pens, pencils, and crayons have brought a lot of excitement, too! My students love using different colors to show their steps, highlight important information, and even make their notes more fun to review later. Something as simple as color has made their work more organized and engaging, and you can see the pride they take in their notebooks.","fullyFundedDate":1751434103816,"projectUrl":"project/calculators-pens-pencils-colors/9296314/","projectTitle":"Calculators, Pens, Pencils, Colors","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Thompson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8835266_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1683229590718","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrthompsonbusd"},{"teacherId":4174878,"projectId":9407200,"letterContent":"I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the donation of 10 whiteboards for math group work. They have been a wonderful addition to our classroom and are making a real difference in student learning.\r\n\r\nI've been using the vertical boards about three times a week in my 7th grade math classes. With 199 students this year, your donation is benefiting a large number of learners. On the days we use them, students typically spend 7–20 minutes working at the boards.\r\n\r\nThe feedback from students has been very positive. They enjoy getting out of their seats, and for my high-energy learners, the board work provides a helpful movement break. They also appreciate the chance to work with different classmates each time. Many have shared that they like hearing concepts explained in new ways by their peers. I value how the boards let students see multiple approaches to the same problem and learn from each other's thinking.","fullyFundedDate":1750910853157,"projectUrl":"project/middle-school-math-vertical-whiteboards/9407200/","projectTitle":"Middle School Math Vertical Whiteboards for Group Leaning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rodriguez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp4174878_orig.jpg?crop=1585,1585,x752,y819&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1749591159325","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4174878"},{"teacherId":4584575,"projectId":9229927,"letterContent":"Thank you all for your support in building a classroom that focusses on the love of reading. Our students were so happy to see all the new options for reading. They all helped with the reading area and have signed up for times on our read schedule. This is the first time they actively asked to read in class. On average, non of my students have read a book on their own over summer. Now our students are asking to read for the first time I have known them.\r\nThis has helped my students change their minds in their other classes too. They have started engaging with reading in class and offering to read aloud. Most of the student have asked me to say thank you for getting them books that they like to read and giving them a chance to feel strong in reading and for some of them it is the first time enjoying a book.","fullyFundedDate":1744088479901,"projectUrl":"project/learning-to-love-to-read-again/9229927/","projectTitle":"Learning to Love to Read Again","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Holbert-O'Carroll","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4584575_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1502472274052","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4584575"},{"teacherId":8835266,"projectId":9260989,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, my classroom is now brighter, more inviting, and filled with tools that will inspire learning every day. From the vibrant \"Welcome to the Jungle\" neon sign to the lush green plants our space has been transformed into a lively and welcoming environment. The colorful math posters and uplifting wall art are already sparking curiosity and conversation among my students, while the tropical wallpaper adds a fun and energizing touch.\r\nThese additions are more than just decorations, they help create a space where students feel comfortable, focused, and ready to learn. The greenery adds a sense of calm to our room, while the bright visuals serve as constant encouragement. The atmosphere you've helped create will not only benefit students academically, but also support their emotional well-being by making the classroom feel like a safe, inspiring place to be.\r\nI am so grateful for your support in bringing these items to life in our learning space. Your kindness reminds my students that people in the community care about their education and their future.
