I use them as small rewards for positive participation, strong effort on assignments, and acts of kindness toward classmates. They are also used to celebrate student birthdays so that every student feels recognized on their special day. One moment that stood out was when a student who had been hesitant to participate volunteered to share their ideas during a discussion, and the class celebrated their effort with a small snack reward. Moments like that help build confidence and create a supportive classroom environment where students feel encouraged to try their best.\r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the snacks, they were very excited and immediately began asking how they could earn them. It helped reinforce positive behaviors and made classroom achievements feel a little more special. As we continue with our current lessons, the snacks will keep being used to celebrate milestones such as completing challenging assignments, participating in group discussions, and showing improvement in their work. These small celebrations help keep students motivated and make our classroom feel like a place where effort and growth are recognized and appreciated.\r\n\r\nThank you very much for your generosity","fullyFundedDate":1769178100571,"projectUrl":"project/snack-packs/9940379/","projectTitle":"Snack Packs","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Flores","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9984668"},{"teacherId":9984668,"projectId":9783848,"letterContent":"Our students use the beanbag chairs as part of our collaborative learning space. During group discussions and peer editing activities, students move into the beanbag area to work together in small groups. One memorable moment happened during a class debate when students gathered in the beanbag corner to prepare their arguments. The relaxed seating helped them feel comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and building on each other's thoughts. The snacks have also been used as incentives to celebrate student effort, whether it's participating in discussion, completing challenging assignments, or reaching personal learning goals as well as birthday treats so they feel extra special on their birthdays. \r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the beanbag chairs, they were incredibly excited. Many immediately asked when they would get to use them and started imagining how they could use the space for group work. It created a sense of ownership and excitement about the classroom environment. The snacks were also a big hit—students love that they can earn them as rewards or receive them as birthday treats. It's been a simple but meaningful way to celebrate students and recognize their hard work.\r\n\r\nRight now, students are continuing to work on collaborative projects where they analyze texts, discuss ideas, and prepare presentations. The flexible seating area allows them to gather comfortably while brainstorming and practicing their discussions. As we move forward, students will be working on peer review and small group discussions to strengthen their arguments and writing. Instead of losing instructional time waiting for shared school equipment or students trying to borrow tools from one another, we can start learning right away. I'm now able to print guided notes, practice problems, college-readiness resources, and personalized feedback on demand, which helps students stay organized and actually use the materials instead of forgetting them or going without. The calculators ensure every student can fully participate in math and science activities — no one has to sit out because they don't have the right tool.\r\n\r\nThe students were most excited about independence. They love being able to quickly grab a calculator and begin working together, checking answers, and building confidence without feeling embarrassed about not having one. The printer has also made projects more meaningful — students take pride in submitting polished work and keeping organized folders of their progress.\r\n\r\nI've especially noticed growth in students who previously hesitated to participate. A few who used to quietly watch during problem-solving activities now jump in because they have the same tools as everyone else. Having equal access removed a barrier, and their confidence has grown along with their willingness to ask questions and try challenging problems.\r\n\r\nYour donation didn't just provide equipment — it created opportunity,","fullyFundedDate":1758761091662,"projectUrl":"project/print-calculate-succeed-essential-too/9726225/","projectTitle":"Print, Calculate, Succeed: Essential Tools for Student Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Shank","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5255406"},{"teacherId":9967541,"projectId":9632477,"letterContent":"Unfortunately, the white board was damaged in transit and was never delivered.
