As I am setting up my classroom, it's so nice to not worry about purchasing the items I need for the first day of school in 8 short days. I have been organizing supplies for the students, and having the skinny dry erase markers and erasers is helpful. The kids will also be excited about their triangular pencils to start the school year! I am excited to have the magnetic dry erase marker organizer for the classroom whiteboard too. My markers won't be rolling off the tray or getting misplaced now that they have a \"home\". I will be using the dry erase pockets to set up and organize our classroom writing wall so the students will have a place to store and display a year's worth of writing. Before receiving the folders, student belongings were often a chaotic mix of loose papers, crumpled assignments, and misplaced notes. This disorganization made it difficult for students to stay on top of their work and often led to frustration and lost learning time. The new folders provided a structured system for organizing their materials, directly supporting our AVID focus on developing essential organizational skills. Seeing students confidently access their work and maintain a tidy learning space has been truly rewarding. This simple tool has empowered them to take ownership of their learning and apply the AVID strategies we've been working on throughout the year.\r\n\r\nBeyond the folders, the donation of markers and erasers has revitalized our note-taking process. Students are now enthusiastically creating colorful and engaging notes, using the markers to highlight key concepts and the erasers to refine their work. This has made learning more interactive and fun, and I've seen a noticeable improvement in student engagement and retention of information.","fullyFundedDate":1690868323783,"projectUrl":"project/super-supplies-for-super-students/7593033/","projectTitle":"Super Supplies for Super Students","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. H.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4726373_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535924364680","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4726373"},{"teacherId":4726373,"projectId":6436946,"letterContent":"I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for supporting our 5th-grade Glow Day celebration. This special event marks the 1,000th day of school for our students, a significant milestone in their educational journey. It's a day filled with excitement, engagement and and lasting memories.\r\n\r\nEach year, our students eagerly anticipate celebrating the 100th day of school. In 5th grade, we amplify this celebration tenfold, recognizing the cumulative learning and growth represented by their 1,000th day. We transform our classroom into a glowing wonderland, creating an immersive and unique learning environment that fosters joy and wonder. Last year's Glow Day will be no exception, and we planned a series of engaging activities that your generous support will directly enhance.\r\n\r\nOur day begins with tangram puzzles, designed to encourage problem-solving skills and critical thinking. These hands-on activities lay the foundation for a day of collaborative learning. We then delve into the science of glow sticks, exploring the chemical reactions that create light and sparking curiosity about the world around them. Independent reading with finger lights adds a touch of magic to quiet reading time, fostering a love of literature in a unique and captivating way.\r\n\r\nThe impact of Glow Day extends far beyond a single day of fun. Students frequently return to visit years later, reminiscing about the special memories created during this celebration. It's a day that ignites their passion for learning and reinforces the positive association they have with their education. Your contribution will help us create an unforgettable experience that will stay with these students for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1651847494245,"projectUrl":"project/light-up-learning/6436946/","projectTitle":"Light Up Learning","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. H.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp4726373_272x272.png?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1535924364680","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4726373"},{"teacherId":4726373,"projectId":5658789,"letterContent":"The impact of the book donations on my fifth-grade classroom was truly remarkable.
