Your support has made a meaningful impact on our students' learning experiences in ways that go far beyond what we initially imagined. With this new technology, students have been able to create a wide variety of items, like slant boards and adapted equipment, as well as motivating reinforcers and fidgets that directly support their individual interests and needs. The printer has become a bridge between creativity and problem-solving, helping students see how ideas can turn into tangible, useful objects.\r\nOne of the most exciting outcomes has been the way this technology brings students together. Our older students, especially, collaborate to brainstorm what to design and build, ask thoughtful questions about how the printer works, and are increasingly taking initiative in planning future projects. Some students have even begun working together on simple digital designs, building early skills in design thinking and technology use. We have students who are really noticing their community and looking at any unmet needs that could potentially be met through the use of the printer. This has sparked a level of curiosity and engagement that extends beyond the classroom. Staff members frequently stop by to observe and talk about the printing process. The 3D printer has helped create a shared sense of excitement and community around learning and exploring new technology.\r\nSeveral students, particularly those who benefit from hands-on and visual learning, have really connected through shared experiences (helping to foster connections and friendships among students who may not have otherwise engaged with one another). The students are showing caring and kindness, as they work together to learn how to use the different pieces, navigate different thoughts and perspectives as they decide what projects to create, and celebrate together after successfully bringing their ideas to life. The students are more engaged, motivated, and so proud of their contributions, especially when they see something they helped design come to life. Your donation has not only provided access to innovative technology but has also inspired creativity, collaboration, kindness, and a greater sense of community with our students and staff. We are truly grateful for your support.","fullyFundedDate":1771628531116,"projectUrl":"project/printing-kindness-forward/10094157/","projectTitle":"Printing Kindness Forward","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Pattie","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9346606_orig.jpg?crop=1320,1320,x8,y75&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1729883905045","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9346606"},{"teacherId":10046471,"projectId":9386367,"letterContent":"We are so incredibly thankful for your generous donations. We use the materials you helped provide every single day. These resources have made our lessons more interactive, engaging, and full of excitement for learning.\r\n\r\nIn Spanish Language Arts, students continuously highlight key words, details, and similes. This has become such a fun and meaningful part of our routine. They have even started applying these strategies independently while reading and taking assessments.\r\n\r\nDuring phonics lessons in both Spanish and English, our students use Expo markers daily with our UFLI curriculum. They love being able to practice sounds, write on whiteboards, and show their thinking in real time. In math, the same markers help us work through problem-solving activities together, and students enjoy the hands-on learning these tools allow.\r\n\r\nOur science lessons are equally exciting. Scissors and glue are used for interactive projects, and students cannot wait to use the butterfly catcher and solar system models as we move into our upcoming units on life cycles and the solar system. When they first saw these materials, their faces lit up with pure excitement, especially when they saw the butterflies and planets.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our classroom feels more alive and interactive than ever. Without your generosity, our learning would not be nearly as engaging. A million thank yous from our class.\r\n\r\nAs we continue through the year, our next steps are to keep developing comprehension skills across all subject areas and to nurture our students' curiosity through hands-on, bilingual learning experiences.
