So even just buying classroom supplies was a burden for me. In spite of these challenges, I didn't want to sacrifice my Japanese class. My students deserve the same amount of care, energy, and resources in the classroom.\r\n\r\nWhen I was notified that my project got funded in October, it really made my day. It was a much needed bright spot of the year. When the items started coming in to my classroom, my students' eyes sparkled with curiosity and joy. They no longer had to use and share white board markers that barely worked! This alone got my students very excited. As I kept opening and unpacking the boxes, my students commented, \"Oh wow! Did you get new index cards?\" \"Yay! You got more pencils!\" It was very delightful to see the kids light up about seemingly small items such as pencils.\r\n\r\nThanks to your generosity and kindness, my students are well prepared to continue to learn a very challenging language, Japanese, in my classroom.
