It has reduced conflict between students and improved learning. Prior to receiving this donation, many kids would come to school without any supplies at all. No pencils, no erasers, no scissors. Students would miss out on the first part of class because they were wandering around asking friends to borrow supplies. Students without friends in the class would sometimes take supplies from another child, leading to arguments. By the time students were ready to learn, they were behind their classmates and stressed out. I tried supplying shared materials for the classroom but they would run out quickly and were often broken by students.\r\n\r\nNow that students have their own supplies, they take care of them so much better. The supplies have lasted longer than I would have ever expected. Kids are excited to get out their pencil pouch with their own name on it and get ready for the warm-up. My students who used to share a few school supplies among a lot of siblings are thrilled to have school supplies that are their own. It has helped my students view themselves as scholars because they are starting each day prepared. We were able to use our supplies to create colorful diagrams of plant organ systems and detailed 3D models of cells.","fullyFundedDate":1757853087246,"projectUrl":"project/starting-strong/9608891/","projectTitle":"Starting Strong!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Burnell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9830904_orig.jpg?crop=505,505,x0,y104&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731422576084","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9830904"},{"teacherId":388389,"projectId":9558723,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for providing the resources my students needed to kick off our school year.
