We use them daily during our phonics and small group reading lessons. Students build words, change sounds, and practice blending letters together to read new words. One of my favorite classroom moments was watching a student build the word cat, then proudly switch the first letter to make bat, hat, and sat. That moment helped the entire group see how changing just one sound can create a new word.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials first arrived, my students were incredibly excited. They immediately wanted to explore the letters and began making words together on their desks and magnetic boards. The hands-on experience makes learning much more engaging, especially for early readers who benefit from seeing, touching, and moving letters while they learn.\r\n\r\nNext, we will continue using the magnetic letters as part of our structured literacy lessons. Pajama Days are something we do often at our school, and they are always filled with excitement.
