It is not an easy instrument, but those end up playing the bassoon become very passionate players. Thank you for helping us purchase the reeds. Having enough copies for everyone made such a difference—it let us all read together, side by side, instead of waiting or sharing. Students got pulled into the story right away, and it's been amazing to see even some of my reluctant readers fully engaged. We've had such great discussions about the characters, the choices they face, and the bigger themes of survival and fairness.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom now feels exciting. Everyone has the book open, following along, making notes, and jumping into conversations. A few students even told me this is the first book they've really enjoyed in a long time, and several have already asked if we can get the second one so they can keep going on their own. That kind of enthusiasm is something every teacher hopes to see, and your generosity helped make it possible.\r\n\r\nWe are so thankful for this donation—it didn't just put books in our hands, it truly encouraged a love of reading in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1744249955619,"projectUrl":"project/hunger-games-class-set-for-ela-11/9070274/","projectTitle":"Hunger Games Class Set for ELA 11","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Hardeman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9901895_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y100&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744646969272","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9901895"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_90751","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":2791,"numTeachers":115,"percentFrplEligible":85,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":97,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"24.3:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":89.5,"schoolId":90751,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Alisal High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Alisal High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/salinas-union-high-school-district/alisal-high-school/90751"}
