My students were excited to notice how organized our library was with the new baskets. This has helped them easily find their favorite books. The anchor chart holder has already made a big difference during lessons, collaborating to learn new strategies to multiply decimals. The hand sanitizer, tissues, and Clorox wipes were greatly appreciated. My students understand how important it is to keep our classroom clean and healthy, and they were grateful to know we have what we need to stay safe and ready to learn.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our next steps include continuing to build strong reading habits and independence. With our newly organized library, students will be setting personal reading goals and tracking their progress throughout our upcoming novel study. We'll also be creating more anchor charts together in both reading and math to capture strategies and refer back to them. The cleaning supplies will help us maintain a healthy learning environment so we can focus on learning as a class. My students and I were so excited to receive these materials! When they first saw The Mysterious Benedict Society book series, students could not wait to read the series. It was one of my favorites when I was their age, and I could not wait to share this love. The notebooks and highlighters have already become essential tools during our interactive novel studies, helping students organize their thinking, annotate important details, and make meaningful connections to the text. During math time, the Expo markers have brought extra engagement as students solve problems on whiteboards and confidently explain their strategies to one another.\r\n\r\nThanks to you, our next steps include deepening their love of reading through books like The Mysterious Benedict Society whcih allows them to continue practicing reading comprehension. Students will continue practicing close reading skills, note-taking, and critical thinking as they track characters, themes, and clues throughout the novel in their journals during ELA and social studies. In math, we will keep building confidence and fluency by using our markers for daily practice and group problem-solving. Your generosity has truly supported our classroom and given students the tools that support both learning and excitement.
