You provided a classroom set of the novel Frindle by Andrew Clements. Having their own copy of the novel to follow along with, mark with sticky notes the pages of text that spoke to them, or contained words they wanted to look up later has been an invaluable resource.\r\n Our class gathered each day after lunch on the carpet with our books as we took turns reading pages of the book. Students practiced reading with prosody, using different voices for the characters. We discussed how the characters reminded us of our own classmates or family members. We talked about how the main character's relationship with his teacher changed his life.
