I immediately began laminating our phonics cards, vocabulary visuals, math problem sets, and student-created anchor charts so they can be reused all year long. The pocket chart has transformed our whole-group lessons — students now build sentences during literacy block, sort word families, and solve math equations right in front of their classmates. One of my favorite moments was watching a student beam with pride while leading a sentence-building activity using the new laminated cards. The materials made the lesson interactive, organized, and empowering.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the freshly laminated materials and the new pocket chart set up at the front of the room, they were genuinely excited. They noticed right away how bright, sturdy, and \"official\" everything looked. Several students asked if they could be the first to use the pocket chart, and their enthusiasm carried straight into the lesson. Having durable materials means students can handle, manipulate, and engage with resources confidently without worrying about them tearing or wearing out.\r\n\r\nAs we move forward, we are using these tools to deepen our literacy routines and math discussions. Students will be working on collaborative sentence construction, vocabulary practice, and multi-step problem solving using the pocket chart as a visual support. These resources are helping us build independence, participation, and confidence in a structured, engaging way. Thank you for investing in tools that will support learning not just for one lesson, but for many years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1766860957981,"projectUrl":"project/chart-and-laminate/9971515/","projectTitle":"Chart and Laminate","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Epperson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2293731_orig.jpg?crop=3024,3024,x0,y745&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1696811248025","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/epperson-adam-angels"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_40014","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":870,"numTeachers":38,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":0,"percentWhite":0,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":98,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 6","studentTeacherRatio":"22.9:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_MIDSIZE"},"inStateSupporters":79.5,"schoolId":40014,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about William Laird Adam Elementary School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"William Laird Adam Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/california/santa-maria-bonita-school-dist/adam-william-laird-elementary-school/40014"}
