Your contribution has already made a meaningful difference in our learning environment, and I am truly grateful.\r\n\r\nI'm so excited to be teaching 4th grade this year. My students are curious, energetic, and full of questions about the world around them. They come to school each day ready to learn, create, and connect, and what I love most is their growing independence and the way they support each other as they tackle big ideas.\r\n\r\nThe supplies funded through this project—utility tote organizers, magnetic labels, bulletin board materials, Paper Mate pens, Sharpies, laminating sheets, an extra-large whiteboard roll, and a dependable electric pencil sharpener—may seem simple, but they have had a huge impact on how our classroom functions. These tools help us stay organized, express our thinking, and bring our ideas to life on the page and on our classroom walls.\r\n\r\nThe tote organizers and labels have helped create a calm, orderly space where students can easily find materials and take responsibility for keeping our classroom running smoothly. The bulletin board paper brightens our room and also serves as a reusable surface for writing and collaboration. The whiteboard paper has created new areas where students can work together, solve problems, and share their thinking in ways that feel fun and interactive.\r\n\r\nThe writing supplies and laminating sheets support daily lessons, group projects, and long-term displays that celebrate student learning. And the heavy-duty pencil sharpener—quiet, reliable, and fast—has been an unexpected hero, preventing constant interruptions and helping students stay focused and ready to work.\r\n\r\nWith your support, my students now have a welcoming, functional, and organized space where they can feel confident, capable, and ready to learn every single day. We use most of these items daily, and the ones we don't are hot commodities! Everything in this grant is used to increase welcoming vibes, engagement, and peer interaction. \r\n\r\nSome of our favorites include the math decks, the polly pockets, the number blocks counters, and the mood light lamp. The math decks are used for a plethora of activities, but our favorite is called \"Top It\". Kids play in partners and ask to play as often as they can! The polly pockets help with fine motor and social skills. They are typically used during literacy centers, but the kids adore them and ask for them often. The number blocks counters are used for small group intervention, hands on counting, math centers, and more. And finally, the mood lamp contributes to the warmth and coziness of the classroom. It's set up right next to our calendar and we change the colors depending on the day, the season, etc. It's such a blast! \r\n\r\nAll of these items greatly impact our classroom, and we wouldn't have any of them without your generosity. Thanks to your support, we now have the tools that help my students grasp abstract concepts by making them tangible. Moving to a new grade level was an exciting and new opportunity for me. It came with its challenges, and at times, it felt like I was drinking from a firehose, trying to absorb so much at once!\r\n\r\nMy 5th graders are such a delightful group, and it has been amazing to grow with them. Together, we've learned how to become a community of learners, and I've shared with them that I, too, am learning right alongside them. The materials from this grant have been invaluable during our reading time, and one of my main goals for the class was to nurture their love of learning—something that can truly only be achieved with good books.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for supporting my class. They love the chance to showcase their creativity with the dot art painters and the trace and draw projectors, this keeps them engaged for all of their work time and they always ask to use them! \r\n\r\nMy students have also shown a deeper understanding of their emotions and how they can express their feelings with their peers and in the classroom because of the amazing SEL books!
