We are so grateful for your kindness and generosity, and with your help, we are now able to practice and compete with the necessary equipment. My students' drive to play and succeed and unmatched, and it feels so nice for them to be supported by others in a way that matches their dedication and enthusiasm.\r\n\r\nAs you'll see in the pictures, my students were beyond excited-- we are hosting winter practices, and so many more of them attend now with the knowledge that they can use their new equipment. They couldn't believe that people donated to their team and are blown away that people want to support them without even knowing them.\r\n\r\nI am currently raising donations for snacks and supplies my classroom, many students in which are also on the softball team :) Any and all generosity is so appreciated, and I can't thank you enough!!!","fullyFundedDate":1758844432870,"projectUrl":"project/swing-away-with-softball-equipment/9661752/","projectTitle":"Swing Away With Softball Equipment!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Griffin","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-9_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10230497"},{"teacherId":5828302,"projectId":9909478,"letterContent":"When I first saw that our \"Powering Student Prototypes with Fresh 3-D Printing\" project had been funded, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude and excitement — because your generosity has given our students the chance to bring their ideas into real, physical form.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the 3-D printer supplies — especially the color-changing and glow-in-the-dark filament — our classroom has turned into a creative, lively workshop. Students are enthusiastically designing and printing prototypes, experimenting with different materials, and watching their ideas come to life in vivid color and even glow-in-the-dark finishes. The excitement in the room is contagious: what started as sketch on paper becomes a tangible object they can hold, test, and refine.\r\n\r\nBeyond the \"cool factor,\" these projects are teaching valuable skills: engineering design, iteration, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Students are learning to plan, test, and revise their prototypes — sometimes going through several versions before they are satisfied — gaining perseverance, collaboration, and a deeper understanding of how design and engineering intersect. For many students, this is the first time they've had the opportunity to turn their creative concepts into functional 3-D objects.\r\n\r\nI've already seen growth not only in their technical skills, but also in their confidence and ownership of their learning. Students who were once hesitant to try hands-on or design-based projects are now asking to stay after class to continue printing, adjusting, and improving their designs. They're proud of what they produce — and more importantly, proud of themselves.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for making this hands-on, engaging, and inspiring learning possible. Your support has opened doors for exploration, creativity, and deeper learning that simply wouldn't have been available otherwise.","fullyFundedDate":1764200856005,"projectUrl":"project/powering-student-prototypes-with-fresh-3/9909478/","projectTitle":"Powering Student Prototypes with Fresh 3D Printer Filament","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Vaughan","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp5828302_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1537389363878","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/michael-vaughan"},{"teacherId":5828302,"projectId":9867201,"letterContent":"When I first saw that our project was fully funded, I was overwhelmed with gratitude — because you gave our students something far more valuable than just tools. You gave them the opportunity to build, design, and learn in real-world ways they couldn't experience otherwise.\r\n\r\nSince receiving the grinder and safety gloves, my students have begun shaping and preparing metals for the frame and components of our Electrathon race car. Watching them at work — measuring, cutting, grinding, and assembling pieces — has transformed what might have been a simple class exercise into a hands-on engineering project.\r\n\r\nInstead of only learning in textbooks, students are now applying mechanical and electrical principles, collaborating as a team, problem-solving in real time, and taking ownership of a project from start to finish. For some, this is their first time using power tools safely and responsibly, learning not only engineering skills but also respect for safety, precision, and craftsmanship.\r\n\r\nBeyond the technical skills, I've seen growth in their confidence, perseverance, and teamwork. When a part didn't fit quite right, they worked together to re-evaluate their design; when a weld or cut wasn't perfect, they tried again until it was. Their excitement and pride in seeing our car begin to take shape has brought an energy to the classroom I haven't seen before.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, these students are not only building a car — they are building important life skills, deeper engagement with STEM, and a tangible reminder that their ideas truly matter.
