But amidst the vacations and summer jobs, high school students don't always carve out time in the summer for reading. They prioritize other leisure activities, and not necessarily the ones that build skills.\r\n\r\nWe decided that a 2025 Summer Activity Bingo Board would be a fresh way to encourage high school students to explore their interests over the summer. The Kindle e-readers are the prizes offered as incentives for students to complete the bingo game and turn in their sheet! \r\n\r\nOur summer challenge invites students to read books in certain \"categories\" but also to explore places, ideas, and other media. We hope this keeps them engaged over the break and that the Kindle prizes drive their excitement. Every student who has received a Kindle in the past as a prize still absolutely loves their e-reader, and they use it constantly! I believe Summer 2025 will be an exciting time for our students thanks to your generous donation!","fullyFundedDate":1739480223839,"projectUrl":"project/high-school-reading-challenge/8955413/","projectTitle":"High School Reading Challenge","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. LaPlante","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5447086"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_43681","usesÐǿմ«Ã½":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":564,"numTeachers":56,"percentFrplEligible":20,"percentAsian":2,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":81,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":5,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"9 - 12","studentTeacherRatio":"10.1:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":false,"titleOne":false,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":100.0,"schoolId":43681,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Granby Memorial High School on @Ðǿմ«Ã½:","schoolName":"Granby Memorial High School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/connecticut/granby-public-schools/granby-memorial-high-school/43681"}
