I had to assign students to seats in chairs or on floor cushions to allow for everyone to sit comfortably. They were not fully engaged in their learning because they were so focused on the child next to them sitting too close, or the one on the cushion sliding all around the room.\r\nWhen I shared with the students that we were getting a new carpet with room for all of them to have a spot, they were absolutely thrilled! I showed them pictures and they immediately began buzzing about where they wanted to sit. Having this carpet has transformed our classroom completely.
