I use the books and games during both individual and small group counseling for students ranging from 2nd to 5th grades. These students all have various disabilities and the materials are engaging and fun for them. When my students saw the fidgets and prizes, they were so excited! I now have students I do not work with asking me for the stress balls because they have been so helpful for their friends. With the winter upon us, I have used the sunlamp to brighten students' moods, in addition to my own. The chairs have created a comfortable space for my students, promoting relaxation and a space to both learn but also calm down when needed. The students have noticed and commented that they are much more comfortable than the previous hard, metal, classroom chairs. I cannot thank you enough for making my small space into a welcoming space for any and everybody to come to and build their social-emotional skills, during a time in the world when it is needed most. When students feel safe, build relationships, and can cope with their feelings, they are ready to learn and grow academically, and these donations are helping make this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1760633580057,"projectUrl":"project/social-emotional-wellbeing-leads-to-impr/9828620/","projectTitle":"Social-emotional Wellbeing Leads to Improved Academic outcomes.","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Russell","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/5542973"},{"teacherId":10310017,"projectId":9821915,"letterContent":"My students are using the hands-on learning materials, such as phonics flash cards, counting pegs, sensory fidgets, and fine motor toys to practice their skills daily at school.
