At first, students were a little skeptical about having to read articles about math. Now, they are excited and actually asking to read them! These articles give math meaning to them. So far they have covered topics that my students find interesting: Mario Bros., Halloween Candy, reptiles, sports, etc.\r\n\r\nThey are actually not complaining about reading, rather they are asking to read! It is so cool to see them engaged in the articles and wanting to read! I love that this articles are giving meaning to the math we are learning. Our math curriculum isn't exactly kid friendly, so, these magazines are helping to show students the many different ways in which math can be used in their lives.\r\n\r\nI greatly appreciate you making this possible for my students.
