Class participation has increased considerably now that we have better use of technology.\r\n\r\nThe snacks serve as a great reward for our students in the PBIS token economy. It's a relief to no longer spend class time troubleshooting broken calculators or tracking down missing ones. Because they're such a valuable resource, students treat them like gold—each student must temporarily exchange an item, such as a phone, shoe, or backpack, when borrowing one to ensure they are always returned safely.\r\n\r\nWhile students now have access to these crucial tools, I also continue to emphasize the importance of mental math and problem-solving without calculators. This balance helps them strengthen both accuracy and number sense while building confidence in their mathematical abilities.\r\n\r\nI also want to thank you for the additional items included in this project. My new mouse pad has been a small but mighty upgrade—it's much more comfortable on my wrist and makes it easier to spot my pointer among the many papers spread across my desk. The fluorescent light covers and air purifier made the room noticeably calmer and cleaner—several students said the charts were \"easier to follow,\" and a few who benefit from PBIS fidget tools were able to focus longer during work time.\r\n\r\nNext, we're building a visible \"library\" of anchor charts for each unit and doing weekly binder checks to keep organization habits strong. Students will use the markers and pads to create peer-teaching posters on the distributive property, then tab the most helpful examples to reference during DeltaMath and quizzes. I'll keep printing targeted practice sets and family updates (thanks to the ink!) so everyone can see the progress you made possible. These visual cues have improved classroom routines and helped students navigate the space with confidence.\r\n\r\nBehind the scenes, the storage bins, clipboards, folders, and drawer organizers have brought clarity and structure to our materials. Our classroom now runs more efficiently, and students are able to access everything they need with ease.\r\n\r\nWe're currently working through a multi-step math unit involving group rotations, review stations, and hands-on problem-solving.
