What I had in mind when creating this project was to organize my Stem tubs and Math tubs so that the manipulatives were easily accessible to my students. Many of the tubs I had were worn and brittle. They desperately needed to be replaced.\r\n\r\nWith this project I was able to purchase new tubs for my Stem activities and Math tubs (that were full of Math Manipulatives). I was able to use two different size tubs to better organize the tubs and their uses. The tubs were also labeled with different color vinyl so the students could easily see which tubs were for STem and which tubs were for Math (primarily used for WTI)","fullyFundedDate":1757507309284,"projectUrl":"project/keeping-it-organized/9491282/","projectTitle":"Keeping It Organized","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Graf","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1041888_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1506043818805","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lgraf"},{"teacherId":9780919,"projectId":9175611,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous support to our classroom! The moment the boxes arrived, my first graders were buzzing with excitement. As we unpacked the magnetic tiles, Rekenreks, money magnets, Unifix cubes, and even the storage bins, it felt like Christmas morning. One student asked, \"Is this all for us?\" The joy and curiosity these materials sparked were immediate and lasting. The cushioned storage ottoman became an instant favorite for center time, and the learning clock helped several students \"crack the code\" of telling time with confidence.\r\n\r\nWe incorporated many of these tools into daily lessons. During math rotations, students used the Unifix cubes for counting, comparing, and building patterns, while others explored combinations of 10 with the Rekenreks. The magnetic money board turned abstract coin values into hands-on learning. With magnetic tiles, students became collaborative while building cars and towers. Friends developed the sense of teamwork, creativity, and engineering vocabulary.\r\n\r\nThese materials have made learning more engaging and accessible. Your kindness helped to create an organized, enriched environment where students felt excited to explore, try, and learn every day. Next steps include using the storage bins to set up independent math toolkits for each child, and to continue to integrate hands-on learning into every corner of our classroom. Thank you for being part of our journey—you've truly made a difference.","fullyFundedDate":1742939590089,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-math-magic-building-skills-wit/9175611/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Math Magic: Building Skills with Engaging Manipulatives!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reiley","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9780919_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y386&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1731176627147","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9780919"},{"teacherId":9780919,"projectId":8933066,"letterContent":"The new resources have been a great addition to our classroom. When my first graders first saw the rekenrek and math games, their reactions were full of curiosity. They were excited to try out the beads on the rekenrek, moving them back and forth while practicing counting and simple addition. It was a nice hands-on way for them to engage with math concepts, and they really enjoyed exploring it together.\r\n\r\nThe math games were also a big hit. They loved the interactive nature of them, and it helped them see math in a fun, applied way.\r\n\r\nAs for our current lessons, we're focusing on building up addition and subtraction skills. The next step is to use those skills in some practical scenarios. We're working on applying math knowledge to real life scenarios.
