Before these materials arrived, many of my students struggled to find safe, healthy ways to manage frustration or big emotions. Now, our calming tools, sensory supports, and regulation resources have become part of our daily routine. One morning, a student who typically shuts down during difficult tasks quietly walked over to the calming corner, wrapped himself in a weighted blanket, and whispered, \"I just need a minute.\" A few deep breaths later, he rejoined the group with a smile and proudly finished his work. That moment — seeing independence, emotional growth, and confidence — was made possible because of you.\r\n\r\nWhen the boxes first arrived, the room buzzed with excitement. Students explored sensory tools like they were discovering treasure, gently trying them out and saying things like, \"This helps my body feel calm,\" and \"I like this... it makes my brain quiet.\" Instead of feeling overwhelmed, they now feel supported. Instead of feeling like they're \"in trouble,\" they feel trusted and empowered. We are seeing fewer meltdowns, more engagement, and an incredible increase in students advocating for what they need.\r\n\r\nBecause of your kindness, we are now able to focus on deeper learning, perseverance, and confidence-building. My students are tackling academic challenges with bravery and learning how to regulate emotions in ways that will help them far beyond the classroom. These tools are used every single day, and they are changing lives in quiet, powerful ways. Thank you for believing in my students and helping create a classroom where they feel safe, capable, and proud of themselves. You didn't just give supplies — you gave my students the gift of calm, confidence, and hope.","fullyFundedDate":1760272018283,"projectUrl":"project/building-calm-and-confidence-helping-my/9522740/","projectTitle":"Building Calm and Confidence: Helping My Students with Autism Thrive","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Fogg","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/4191072"},{"teacherId":6393949,"projectId":9131684,"letterContent":"Thank you for your continued support of my classroom and my students.
