I want to share with you the impact these new books have had on my class just two weeks after receiving them! There is a significant push in our school system to move away from devices of all kinds (Chromebooks, cell phones, iPads, etc.) and go back to basics and that means focusing on group reading, reading discussion groups and read-to-self focused learning. \r\n\r\nThe response from the kids, especially with these current titles in our library has been overwhelming. They are very into the stories and our Drop Everything And Read time has been phenomenal! What a difference some current titles make in the life of these middle schoolers. It's also great that students don't have to wait for the copies of these books to become available at the public library because now the books are in their very own classroom.\r\n\r\nIt has been a wonderful and miraculous thing to watch!!
