One of my students loves anything to do with animals and he has been loving the counters! Several students have been sorting and counting with them, and when I showed them to one of the kindergarten teachers she decided to order them too. The interactive read aloud books have been a tremendous hit as have been the number puzzles. A very quiet, shy student especially loves the \"Old Woman Who Swallowed\" book kit and chooses to read and play with it every week.\r\n\r\nThank you so much for this fun learning activity, it is very much appreciated.","fullyFundedDate":1767241707307,"projectUrl":"project/enrichment-activities-for-adaptive-libra/9676862/","projectTitle":"Enrichment Activities for Adaptive Library Class","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hardman","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2658360_orig.jpg?crop=1873,1874,x0,y124&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706139717600","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2658360"},{"teacherId":5302116,"projectId":9384537,"letterContent":"This amazing project gifted my new, larger classroom space, a new magical carpet! The carpet can easily seat my class of 19 first graders and is a great collection of calming colors. The giant smiling faces provide students with a bubble that is their own and gives them a boundary idea for sitting next to peers. We use the rug as a whole class twice daily, but the kids often gravitate towards the comfy, calming space to complete their independent work or reading in the afternoon. \r\n\r\nThank you so much for helping to make this happen!","fullyFundedDate":1755740760898,"projectUrl":"project/magical-carpet-for-first-graders/9384537/","projectTitle":"Magical Carpet for First Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Costello","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5302116_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1571619378373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lcostello"},{"teacherId":2658360,"projectId":9482389,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your wonderful donation of craft supplies for the Dike Newell School Library, students are loving them and having them helped me immensely with a recent project I did with second grade students. \r\n\r\nSecond grade students have been designing and creating ships after studying the Mayflower and the Virginia. This year, you helped to fund a new Elephant and Piggie Biggie book along with a copy of The Lorax for every first grade student! That's 19 students that were able to receive two great books for their home libraries! Why these books? Well The Lorax is a classic that I read everry year to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday, but to also study and complete projects around Earth Day! The kids love the story and it creates a lot of insightful conversation around ways that we can help our community and Earth every year. \r\nThe Elephant and Piggie Biggie books are a great book for first graders to have at home in the summer because it is a good fit for almost all first grade readers. Plus, this biggie book includes five different Elephant and Piggie stories within the hard cover. Therefore, they have five different stories to practice reading over and over. Mo Willems, the author of Elephant and Piggie, is a much loved author for first graders because of his great fit reading, humorous story lines, and fun characters. Therefore, the kids really do enjoy these. \r\nBoth of these books are hardcover books to also remain safe and durable in young readers' hands! \r\nThank you again for making such a great reading project come to life! I hope you will consider supporting this project again in the future.","fullyFundedDate":1744228668655,"projectUrl":"project/elephant-piggie-and-the-lorax/9159211/","projectTitle":"Elephant, Piggie, and the Lorax!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Costello","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp5302116_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1571619378373","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/lcostello"},{"teacherId":2658360,"projectId":9172005,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for purchasing these wonderful picture books by author Josh Funk. The books were available to be checked out today and were snapped up immediately! \r\n\r\nDuring yesterday's visit Josh encouraged students to read lots of books so that they can become great storytellers.
