The resources you funded didn't just arrive as supplies—they arrived as possibilities. They arrived as moments of curiosity, confidence, and connection that have changed the tone of our classroom in ways I see daily.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their excitement was immediate and genuine. They couldn't believe that new tools were being placed directly into their hands. For many of my students, having materials that belong to them makes a real difference in how they show up academically. The smiles and chatter that filled the room as we unboxed everything made it clear: they felt seen and supported by people they've never met.\r\n\r\nWe began using the new resources right away during our unit on quadratic functions. One moment stands out. Students were tasked to create Frayer models as review material for this unit. The manipulatives helped them build and compare tables, graphs, and equations. One student was working on his Frayer model and I watched another student offer to assist him. He used the materials to explain the concept of multiplying binomials using the FOIL method.\r\n\r\nSince implementing these materials, engagement has increased in ways that are hard to describe without witnessing them. Students move around more, collaborate more, question more, and take more pride in their work. These small shifts have created a much larger shift: a space where students feel more capable of tackling concepts that once felt intimidating. As we move into our next steps—exponential functions—students will use these same resources to model real‑world situations. They will use materials to show relationships between functions, compare solution types, and explain their reasoning to classmates. These materials will continue supporting inquiry‑based learning all year long and beyond.\r\n\r\nYour contribution didn't just fund supplies. It funded moments of discovery. It funded confidence. It funded a classroom environment where students feel that others believe in their success.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students the gift of opportunity. Thank you for believing in them and in the power of education.","fullyFundedDate":1766187219598,"projectUrl":"project/algebra-in-action/9916327/","projectTitle":"Algebra in Action","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Wells","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10085220_orig.jpg?crop=2208,2208,x0,y103&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1752951628815","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10085220"},{"teacherId":9693649,"projectId":8683178,"letterContent":"On behalf of our students and team, we extend our deepest gratitude for your generous support of Project Ease Anxiety as Students Soar Academically. I sincerely appreciate your support in providing this creative tool, which allows them to explore their creativity, experiment with mixing colors, and practice using different paints and brushes.\r\n\r\nLately, students have been especially excited about painting rainbows, sparking rich conversations as they share their ideas. They eagerly put on their smocks, set up their paper, and create artwork featuring hearts, people, families, and vehicles they observe. Often, they make art as gifts for friends, to share with the class, or to proudly bring home to their families.\r\n\r\nRecently, students have been stamping handprints to form creative shapes, and we've displayed a beautiful rainbow made of heart prints.
