Your willingness to give has helped meet a very real, everyday need in our classroom.\r\n\r\nFor many of my students at our Title I school, these snacks are more than just food. They provide comfort, stability, and a sense that someone beyond their classroom believes in them. I see the impact daily: students who are more engaged, more confident, and more ready to learn because their basic needs are being met. Your support directly helps create a learning environment where children can thrive.\r\n\r\nPlease know how deeply grateful I am for your generosity and heart for kids. Your support had a positive impact on our students and library environment by providing much needed supplies. \r\n\r\nThese new additions are doing more than just furnishing the space—they are actively transforming our library into a more inviting, organized, and engaging place for every student.\r\n\r\nNew Rugs: The addition of a colorful, comfortable rug has dramatically softened the atmosphere of the library. It creates a designated, cozy reading nook and gathering area, making the space feel warmer and more welcoming. This new level of comfort encourages students to sit, relax, and spend more time with books, fostering a genuine love for reading.\r\n\r\nBook Display Racks: The new display racks have been a game-changer for promoting literacy. Books are no longer only shelved with their spines facing out; popular titles, new arrivals, and books related to current school themes are displayed face-out like a bookstore. This dramatically increases the visibility of the books, sparking curiosity and making it easier for students to discover their next great read.\r\n\r\nBook Bins: The book bins provide a flexible and organized way to manage and browse the collection. They are perfect for grouping books by topic, series, or reading level, allowing our youngest readers to easily navigate the shelves, select books independently, and quickly return them to the proper location. This has instilled a sense of ownership and responsibility in our students while keeping the library tidy and accessible for all.\r\n\r\nIn short, your donations have helped us create a space that is not only functional but truly inspiring. The library is now a more comfortable, more organized, and more engaging hub for literacy, and our students are benefiting every single day.\r\n\r\nThank you once again for your commitment to our students' education and their journey toward becoming lifelong readers.","fullyFundedDate":1755700792968,"projectUrl":"project/from-bare-floors-to-book-nooks-help-us/9531369/","projectTitle":"From Bare Floors to Book Nooks: Help Us Get Cozy!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp684833_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x79,y115&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754272097868","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-otoole"},{"teacherId":684833,"projectId":9531506,"letterContent":"Your donations have made a huge difference in my school library. Our library has only been open for a few years. This is my first year in this school library, and I asked for items that have made a difference in other school libraries I have worked at. The items you helped fund have had a big impact on the library's daily operations as well as student engagement with reading. \r\n\r\nThe bags, with labels covered with tape, are being used by 141 students in grades Pre-K-1st grade. The bags offer protection for the materials during transit between home and school, shielding them from rain, snow, or accidental spills, ensuring the books return to the library in better condition. The bookmarks have served a practical purpose by preventing students from dog-earing pages, which damages books. Providing them as a free, readily available resource instills respect for library materials. The stickers are a low-cost, high-impact incentive used to reward good behavior, participation in reading challenges, or reaching literacy goals. They create a positive association with the library and reading. The markers enable the library to host hands-on activities, such as bookmark creation stations, coloring pages related to current themes, or collaborative poster projects. This makes the library a vibrant center for creative learning, not just a quiet place to check out books. \r\n\r\nThe combination of all these supplies signals to students and the community that the library is a valued and well-supported place, enhancing the overall school culture around reading and literacy.","fullyFundedDate":1755743730331,"projectUrl":"project/basic-library-items-for-a-great-new-scho/9531506/","projectTitle":"Basic Library Items for a Great New School Year!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. O.","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp684833_orig.jpg?crop=272,272,x79,y115&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1754272097868","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-otoole"},{"teacherId":7824744,"projectId":9678130,"letterContent":"On behalf of the English as a Second Language team, thank you so, so much for your generosity. These are among the most teacher-friendly item we have on hand. The baskets have made a huge difference in our ability to organize and prepare materials to be ready for lessons in multiple classrooms across grades. In Kindergarten classrooms we have also found that not only are baskets a practical means of storing and organizing materials, but these baskets are also a fun addition to our play areas. Kindergarteners are currently studying woodland animals. These baskets are perfect for making pretend nests for the stuffed owls in our dramatic play areas. It was a breath of fresh air for us as teachers, to have the gift of such a practical resource to help us support our students. While I originally thought these books would be in rotation mostly with our youngest ( Grades kindergarten- Grade 1) students, it was surprising to see how useful they were for our older learners who have struggled the most with learning to read. The stories are not boring, they are not \" babyish\". This is a huge issue I have often encountered when trying to find books for my older students that balance their need for dignity alongside their need to practice reading skills that are grade levels far below their ages. We have found these books appropriate as a resource for special educators, English as a Second Language teachers- and my homeroom teacher colleagues have also requested that we get more of these books to support their regular classroom instruction as well. These are sturdy, well-made, high quality instructional materials that will be in use at my school for a long time. \r\nYour generosity has given my whole teaching team such as lift- we feel like our work is seen and valued.
