At the beginning of the school year, I told my older kids that I was able to get a really cool \"power tool\" for us to use after the 1st quarter. Well the first quarter passed and they didn't forget. They have been asking for awhile now to use the new machine! \r\n\r\nWe just started a string art project on cardboard and the kids were able to easily cut out their cardboard circles with the Chomp Saw. I wanted to test it out with them cutting out just one shape to see how it was going to go. They LOVED it! I am planning a way to make cardboard masks using all sorts to materials to run through the Chomp Saw: cardboard, fabric, foam sheets, and even just thicker cardstock. I can't wait for the kids to use the Chomp Saw again! \r\n\r\nBecause of your donation, I am able to introduce students how to use a mini power tool! Most of the time when people think of art projects, they think of girls being crafty and 'artsy', but with the Chomp Saw-the boys in my classes are LOVING the hands on experience that this brings! It really means a lot to see so many boys excited to come to the art room to create! \r\n\r\nWe are all \"chomping\" at the bit to get to use the Chomp Saw again! Your donation has helped these kids explore new materials and tools in the art room, and hopefully inspiring them to create art with 'irregular' materials!","fullyFundedDate":1749694095952,"projectUrl":"project/chomping-with-creativity-a-cardboard-cu/9402872/","projectTitle":"Chomping With Creativity: a Cardboard Cutter for the Art Room","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Wilson","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10052273"},{"teacherId":7340929,"projectId":8796044,"letterContent":"Thank you all so much for your generous donations to fund this project. I am so grateful that you all cared enough to donate. \r\nOur elementary school is being bombarded with sickness right now, as well as many other schools. It is so nice that we can use the ipad wipes to clean our devices and get rid of as many germs as we can. Also, this donation has helped me provide each student their own pair of headphones. We don't have to share anymore and spread germs through headphones. \r\nI just can't express how happy I am that this project got funded.
