The looks on their faces when the boxes were delivered were priceless. We have done a plethora of art projects using the crayons, markers, and Sharpies. The whiteboard markers have enabled my students to use their whiteboards and do more group dictation and math activities. We are able to do more journal writes in our new journals. The students are absolutely loving life!\r\nOne of the biggest projects that we have done was learn how to write an opinion writing. With the supplies that you have donated, we were able to complete the writing process smoothly and effortlessly in our new journals and then transfer their drafts onto \"pretty paper\" and complete and illustration using our new art supplies. \r\nAs the school year winds down, we will continue to enjoy the amazing supplies that have been so graciously given to us by your donors. Some of the students in this classroom don't have a lot to begin with, and the fact that now they can experience the fun and joys of learning with new supplies makes their school experience even more special. I told them it was going to be for them to use and sit on when they can work independently or with a partner around the room, and that I was trying to add some more comfort for them. The flexible seating was nice so we could update our seating. Students love the wobble chairs! The rest of the supplies have been a huge help with all our STEAM activities. We have made Newton's Cradles, 3-D Natural Hazards experienced in Nevada and a structure that can withstand it. \r\n\r\nCreativity and flexibility in learning is crucial in a GATE classroom. These supplies have helped my students become better learners.
