One powerful moment occurred during a small group lesson on managing big feelings. Students used the calming tools to practice deep breathing and identify their emotions before role-playing how to respond to a frustrating situation with a peer. \r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the materials, their faces lit up with excitement and curiosity. Many immediately gravitated toward the calming tools and flexible seating, commenting on how \"peaceful\" and \"comfortable\" the space felt. Several students shared that having a special place to calm down made them feel safe and cared for. \r\n\r\nLooking ahead, we are building on this foundation by incorporating the resources into ongoing SEL lessons that focus on self-awareness, healthy communication, and independence.
