We also read Drum Dream Girl. In the story, girls are not allowed to play drums. The main character dreams of playing drums and eventually makes a difference in leading the way for other girls. The girls in class started our Jam Session leading the group with drums! \r\n\r\nStudents have been enjoying the music so much they play it during recess too! I enjoy seeing them work together and creating a parade of music. I am so proud of my class! \r\n\r\nI will be putting their writing books together soon with the book maker provided. Students have also enjoyed observing parts of a butterfly cells through a magnifying glass. \r\n\r\n We are so grateful for the science supplies to make learning fun! They pair really well with my chromebooks. \r\nI have ahd to teach expectations on how to use our headphones with gentle care. They are a thinner plastic than the ones they are used to using. Unfortunately, I already have one set that had completely snapped. However, I use this opportunity to show students how to treat things that are gifted to us.
