Some of the picture books were about various careers and they have made my students very excited about their potential future career options! My students have loved reading these books!\r\n\r\nThe chapter books have been fantastic read alouds for our class. This has improved the transitional challenges we were having before. Students are also more aware of their bodies on the carpet and are able to keep their bodies to themselves. The impact of your gift was felt immediately; the introduction of new earphones and earbuds has completely transformed our daily routine. By creating individual \"audio bubbles,\" these tools have allowed my students to engage deeply with their digital lessons and audiobooks without the distraction of background noise. This new level of focus has fostered a remarkably quiet and calm atmosphere, where every student finally has the \"mental space\" they need to truly absorb what they are learning. They were extremely excited because our old earphones are breaking and do not fit students well. \r\nThe physical transformation of our room has been just as profound. The addition of flexible seating has empowered my students to choose the environment that best suits their learning style, whether they need to move or find a cozy corner for deep concentration. Furthermore, the special binder shelf for our reference charts has been a total game-changer for our organization. By moving those bulky materials to a dedicated home, we have freed up vital desk space, removing the physical clutter that often leads to mental distraction. Thank you for providing the tools that allow my students to work with independence, comfort, and clarity.","fullyFundedDate":1768066684062,"projectUrl":"project/quiet-spaces-active-minds-empowering-4/9989885/","projectTitle":"Quiet Spaces, Active Minds: Empowering 4th Grade Writers","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. D D Rader","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9358001"},{"teacherId":10400150,"projectId":9999856,"letterContent":"My students and I have been using the new resources every day. The books have had the biggest impact—students are choosing to read more often and with greater enthusiasm. The organizational supplies have also helped us stay organized and focused, making our classroom run more smoothly.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe students were incredibly grateful and excited when they first saw the donations. Their faces lit up as they explored the books and supplies, and they couldn't wait to start using them. It was a joyful moment that reminded them how many people care about their learning.\r\n\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue reading from the I Survived and Who Was series and work on deeper response activities, including extended book reports and small group discussions. With your generous donation, we were able to have all students playing the bucket drums at the same time. No partner sharing in our classroom!! This has not only increased engagement but has also allowed us to get through more music. We were able to play 2 songs on the tenor buckets and also play a combination piece with metal buckets and trash cans. Having a 3-piece song directly aligns with our 5th-grade music standards. We were able to replace broken and bent boom whacker tubes and plan to showcase our skills for parents at the end of April! Lastly, the games I was able to convert into music games allowed for students to continue with music education while I was sick and had to take a few days off. My substitute was able to direct the games with no music background. \r\n\r\nStudents were excited to be able to play all together and not have to air play while waiting for sticks. Students were excited to play all together with the boom whackers that were not damaged. Lastly, students enjoyed class and had good reports after playing the Candyland games while I was absent. The next steps for most of my classes are to give performances for families. 3rd and 5th will be at the end of April, and 1st and 2nd will be at the end of the school year in June. With the extra supplies, all students will be able to showcase their music skills on instruments as well as singing.","fullyFundedDate":1768684022257,"projectUrl":"project/lets-play-and-move-in-music/10024063/","projectTitle":"Let's play and move in music!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Drauch","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2178560"},{"teacherId":9215830,"projectId":10001961,"letterContent":"We have had a blast playing in dramatic play with the extra shop items we received from Donors choose. My students immediately took to the chair bands. It took less than an hour for the kids to figure out how to use them best, which I am pleased to report there is not one way to use them. I have students who put their feet on them like a swing, students who like their calves to be resisting against them, and students who like to have their shins push on up on them. The best part, you would never know they are being used unless you look because they are so quiet!\r\nOur other big purchase was the floor cushions. That is a game changer in our classroom community! I have them stacked in a central location that can be accessed by students any time. They grab cushions when they play math games on the floor, when we circle up for a morning meeting, when students have free choice time and want to sit around the room. Some students sit on them, and some lay on their stomachs, which again surprises me that students have a variety of preferences. I also really appreciate the wipes we received, because it is really giving the kids a sense of ownership when they have to clean their own seat. We have a good system down; I put 5-7 wipes on the back table and students share with each other to get materials clean before putting them away. Any extra cleaning power on the wipes are used for their desk and cubby space. It has added maybe 1-2 minutes in transition time, but I think it is well worth the pride being instilled in the kids.","fullyFundedDate":1768155615038,"projectUrl":"project/soft-seating-for-3rd-graders/9998193/","projectTitle":"Soft Seating for 3rd Graders","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Robbins","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9359273"},{"teacherId":1847400,"projectId":10027698,"letterContent":"The books are awesome, thank you for the help.
