Your support made a tremendous difference in our classroom and greatly enriched our students' learning experiences.\r\n\r\nThe phonics cards had an incredible impact on all students. They helped improve reading skills during literacy centers and made learning more engaging. Students loved selecting a phonics book and practicing reading with their classmates, which not only strengthened their reading fluency but also boosted their confidence.\r\n\r\nThe crayons, pencils, and glue sticks were essential resources used every day in ELA, math, science, and writing. These materials allowed students to complete their assignments successfully and express their creativity in their daily work.\r\n\r\nWhen the students saw all the new materials—especially the clay and large sticky easel pads—their excitement filled the room! They loved working together in partner groups, using the clay for hands-on projects and the sticky pads to collaborate on presentations for their animal reports and to write large, shared stories. Finally, I used the sheet protectors to laminate students' work, create math games, and build fluency sheets for students to practice. The sheet protectors helped save paper and time and allowed students to work together. \r\n\r\nYour generosity has truly brought joy, creativity, and confidence to our classroom. Many of my students are developing readers, and having access to books that match their skill level helps reduce frustration and increases their excitement about reading. I've already seen students take more risks, sound out words more willingly, and celebrate their progress as readers.\r\n\r\nThe markers have added an engaging, creative element to our daily learning. Students are using them to interact with texts, highlight important sounds and patterns, and express their understanding through writing and drawing. This hands-on component keeps them motivated and allows them to take ownership of their learning.\r\n\r\nBecause of your support, my students feel more confident, capable, and excited to learn. The biggest hit is the flexible seating; students are motivated to do their work because they know as long as they are working, they can sit on the inflatable donuts, the comfy reading chair, or the wobble stools. The wobble stools are such a hit that even adults are asking for them for our learning spaces! Students love feeling comfortable.\r\n\r\nPencil Parking has also change our classroom in a big way! For the first time all year, we have gone WEEKS without a lost, broken, or ruined pencil! Students know that they are responsible for one pencil for their period and that it must be returned to Pencil Parking when class is over, and it's a big changer! Everyone helps keep everyone else accountable for their pencils, and it's such a big impact that even the other 5th grade teachers are now using Pencil Parking.","fullyFundedDate":1768267120214,"projectUrl":"project/a-little-bit-of-everything/10008680/","projectTitle":"A Little Bit of Everything","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Allen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-8_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9591914"},{"teacherId":1871880,"projectId":9997986,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support of my project, \"Full Hearts and Full Bellies.\" My students loved the additions to our classroom. They enjoy using the stress jellies in my calming corner and they really enjoy the affirmation station that I created by hanging up the motivating words and phrases around our classroom. I taught words such as, \"capable, confident, unique and enough\" and my students and I use these affirmations daily to build ourselves up and most importantly to remind students that they matter. My class has also really enjoyed the spinning wheel that I was gifted. When students are on task or working hard, I ask them to spin the wheel and they earn a small reward. It adds a lot of fun and encouragement to our room. Lastly, my students have loved the snacks. I give out 6-8 snacks daily for students who do not have a snack to hold them over until lunch. They have full bellies and enjoy continuing their learning while they are snacking. I am truly grateful and so are my students. My students have benefited tremendously from the snacks that were provided through this donation. Having a lunch that doesn't begin until 1:00pm causes students to get hungry through the day. While students know that they are allowed to bring snacks into the classroom, the reality is that some students are unable to bring snacks with them each day. Students that are hungry do not learn well and they are focused on their hunger rather than their learning. Donating these snacks means that all of my students have access to something that will fuel their brain each day. I also used to buy safe snacks for a student that has severe food allergies in my classroom. These snacks meant when birthday treats were brought in by other students that she was not allowed to have, she still had access to a fun snack that allowed her to be included.\r\n\r\nMy student's favorite part of the project was the bean bags for our cozy work spaces. Students love to sit around the room when working independently. However, sometimes the floor isn't so comfy. These bean bags allowed students a comfortable space to sit and work or sit and read in our classroom. Each week a new team gets to use the bean bags so that they are accessible to all students and they have loved these new spaces.\r\n\r\nAgain, I greatly appreciate your donation to my classroom!","fullyFundedDate":1768164630687,"projectUrl":"project/cozy-reading-corner-and-work-spaces/9994950/","projectTitle":"Cozy Reading Corner and Work Spaces","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Reeder","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-4_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8122106"},{"teacherId":8194433,"projectId":9998686,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of the 3-drawer organizers. Each class period and group has a clearly designated space, making everything easily accessible and neatly arranged.\r\n\r\nThis improved organization has not only created a calmer, more structured environment, but it has also given us something incredibly valuable—more instructional time.\r\n\r\nI am truly grateful for your kindness and support.","fullyFundedDate":1768343194114,"projectUrl":"project/organize-and-incentivize/9998686/","projectTitle":"Organize and Incentivize!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Iaulualo","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8194433"},{"teacherId":8107401,"projectId":9998044,"letterContent":"With all the items my kids were able to get, the strategic games seem to be their favorites. In one game they are trying to take down their opponent, and five minutes later they are cheering on that same person. The camaraderie that transpires in our room is such a unique and fun dynamic of challenge, knowledge, and sportsmanship, I have truly enjoyed their social growth just as much as their academic growth. \r\n I want to thank \"Donors Choose\" facility and its donors. The books also support vocabulary growth, comprehension, and critical thinking, while many stories naturally reinforce lessons about friendship, kindness, perseverance, and understanding others.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is lively and engaging. Students read independently and in small groups, often discussing chapters as they go. We pause to make predictions, talk about characters' choices, and reflect on what's happening in the story. The chapter books have encouraged students to read for longer periods of time and to stay invested in a story from one day to the next.\r\n\r\nMany students—especially those who were just beginning to feel confident as readers—have been especially excited about the chapter books. Several students proudly talk about finishing their \"first chapter book,\" and others ask to take books home to keep reading.
