The excitement when they found out our project had been funded and the kits started to arrive was palpable to everyone. When some of our kits were unavailable, I gave students the opportunity to suggest and vote for kits within the amount available. This gave them real life opportunities I would beyond what I could have imagined. They learned budgeting, compromise, they listened as students spoke about what Lego kits they thought would be a good addition to what we had and ultimately chose kits that I never would have thought of. \r\n Now that our kits are here and students have been working on them, I've watched collaborations happening among students that normally have more difficult times working cooperatively. I've seen students who initially said Legos are \"ok\" working excitedly to help complete sets and they have held each other to expectations that they set for working with Legos. I watch problem solving in action daily and creative solutions to help fix things that don't seem to be working. Legos have brought the excitement of STEAM education as well as Social Emotional Learning to our classroom and I couldn't be more pleased. This has grown from a project meant to help demonstrate how STEAM fits into our daily life into daily life lessons that I hope will stay with them for years to come.","fullyFundedDate":1760383415673,"projectUrl":"project/lets-go-with-lego/9724367/","projectTitle":"Let's Go With Lego","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Fant","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ms-fant"},{"teacherId":6561452,"projectId":9392207,"letterContent":"I cannot thank you enough for helping support my classroom project.
