One favorite moment was when students worked together to put together the doodle bot to draw circles. They made changes when something didn't work and cheered when the bot finally drew on their papers. It was a wonderful mix of creativity and persistence.\r\n\r\nThe students were beyond excited to work on the bot. As soon as they saw the doodle bot, their eyes lit up and they couldn't wait to get started. Even students who are usually quiet and aloof were eager to participate.\r\n\r\nNext, students will rebuild their doodle bot to make it more balanced and durable. Thanks to your generosity, our students are building confidence, curiosity and a love of learning every day.","fullyFundedDate":1759194598738,"projectUrl":"project/crazy-contraptions-my-drawing-robot/9703513/","projectTitle":"Crazy Contraptions: My Drawing Robot","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nashif","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-nashif"},{"teacherId":10004953,"projectId":9675095,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generous support, my students used the new materials to build a simple electric motor as part of our Expand Your Thinking! Event. Students worked in small groups to connect wires, batteries, magnets, and coils, testing how electricity creates motion. One special moment was watching a group problem solve together when their motor didn't spin at first, they adjusted the coil and cheered when it finally worked. These materials allowed students to learn by doing, which made the science concepts come alive.\r\n\r\nWhen the materials arrived, my students were thrilled. Many had never worked with real electrical components before, and they were eager to explore. Their excitement quickly turned into curiosity as they asked questions and carefully examined each item. It was wonderful to see students who are usually hesitant in science feel confident and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nStudents will reflect on how their motors worked and what changes need to be made for them to work better. They will record observations, draw diagrams and explain the science behind electricity and magnetism in their own words. We will also connect this project to real-world applications, helping students understand how motors are used in everyday devices. These next steps will strengthen their critical thinking, writing and scientific reasoning skills.","fullyFundedDate":1758297726599,"projectUrl":"project/from-curiosity-to-current-inspiring-st/9675095/","projectTitle":"From Curiosity to Current: Inspiring Steam With Electric Motors","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Nashif","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-7_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrs-nashif"},{"teacherId":9350664,"projectId":9459772,"letterContent":"I would like to thank you for your heartfelt donations to my classroom! With your help my class purchased a carpet for gathering together. This carpet creates a great sense of community in our class. We sit on the carpet within close proximity to one another. This helps us remain aware and considerate of our classmates. \r\nWe greet each other every morning and share discussions and experiences. Whenever problems arise in our class, the carpet serves as a meeting place for restorative practices.
